Garden Room Opens 2009 Hall’s Garden Centre in Sutton Coldfield expanded with the purchase of the public house next door, on the corner of Chester Road and Antrobus Road. Built in 1930 and owned by the Punch Taverns chain it was originally called the New Oscott Tavern. Over recent years it has changed its name several times, being known as Taylors and later The Med Bar, before becoming The Place 2 Be.

Now the building has been refurbished and has opened as an upmarket coffee shop. The expansion was met with a warm welcome from local residents and has quickly become a popular place to eat, drink and shop in Birmingham.
