History of Hall's Garden Centre
In 1952 the Hall Family (Gerald Hall) set up its first landscape company. It was opened in Hurst Lane, Castle Bromwich. Over the years it has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the UK’s most successful Garden Centres, serving the UK and overseas.

New Oscott Opens 1958 Halls opened their second garden centre on Chester Road, New Oscott in Sutton Coldfield. This was formerly the site of a farm that supplied the students from Oscott College with milk and dairy products.'

Castle Bromwich Garden Centre 1961 Castle Bromwich Garden Centre established in July 1961.
Hall's Florist Opens 1967 Opened in March 1967 by Noele Gordon, star of ITV’s Crossroads. Hall’s Florist in Hurst Lane, Castle Bromwich quickly established a reputation for selling and delivering quality flowers throughout Birmingham, the UK and worldwide.
