Outstanding Coffee Shop
Recently visited this coffee shop whilst visiting Halls Garden Centre next door. Utilising an old pub building this delightful coffee shop is tastefully decorated and has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The quality of the food and drinks on offer are what sets it apart from other coffee shops I've visited. An extensive choice of hot and cold drinks as well as alcohol is available. The home made cake selection is very tempting but I went for a light lunch selection of a very tasty chicken and bacon baguette accompanied by some of the best home made chips I've ever tasted. Service was polite, swift and efficient and as a big bonus you could park right outside the door!
A Little Gem In Sutton Coldfield
I have driven past this place lots of times and today I decided to treat myself and a friend to lunch. Well what a delightful pleasure...... we had the smoked salmon sandwiches served with a dressed salad and lovely crisps. The food was very well presented, the waitress was really friendly and although it was a busy lunchtime we were served very promptly. The whole decor is clean modern and with comfy chairs! After lunch we wandered around looking at the little bits and pieces on sale including gorgeous chocolates and lovely birthday cards. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours here and we will be back. Excellent value for money too.
Unique Tea Room In Sutton Coldfield
I went with some colleagues of mine from work and was most impressed with the decor of this coffee shop, bright, decorative and tastefully decorated sets this shop apart from the usual franchised coffee shop. It has a special uniqueness with an extensive range of home made cakes and Belgian chocolates on display. The lunch menu has a good selection of light lunches from local suppliers and lunch was served efficiently food was delious recommend the tuna and cheese panini with a nice side salad with chunky chips.
A very nice and busy atmosphere makes this coffee shop unique from the rest!
Lovely Cheesecake!
We found this cafe by googling nearby garden centres, whilst in Sutton Coldfield on an errand, as we were going to buy plants and needed a cuppa. We nearly didn't go in, as from the outside it wasn't obvious that there was a cafe. But as there was parking right on the forecourt, we thought we'd have a look anyway. So glad we did! the cafe was bustling, warm, with friendly staff, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Both my husband and I chose the raspberry cheesecake, he had filter coffee and I had tea. The cheesecake was so scrumptios! home-made, and very tasty! The coffee was great, and I had 3 cups of tea out of my pot of tea. I'd definitely recommend this cafe, for its warm surroundings, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. And as for the cakes - well, they all looked superb!
Lovely Surroundings & Very Welcoming Staff
I would just like to say I recently had a lovely experience at The Garden Room Coffee Shop. It has lovely surroundings and very welcoming staff. Will definitely be back later this year.
Celebrate Birthday
My mom and I visited the garden room last Monday to celebrate her birthday, we decided on the high tea with some added fizz. We were served by a lovely lady called Diane, nothing was too much trouble.
Afternoon Tea - Pleased that they cater for Vegans!
I was invited here for an Afternoon Tea to celebrate a baby shower. I had told the organizer of our party when she was booking that I wouldn't have any food, just tea, due to my vegan lifestyle. When we arrived, i saw on a TV screen they use for advertising that they offer Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free Afternoon Teas. I was amazed! I asked the waitress if it would be OK to order a Vegan Tea, as i hadn't pre-ordered. She said it was no problem. When all the 3 tiered cake stands came out (we were a party of 15), mine came out at the same time. I was impressed that they were able to cater for this at such short notice. The tea consisted of 4 dainty sandwiches; The filling was tasty (at my guess, maybe a chickpea and red pepper filling? I'm sure the waitress would have told me what it was if I'd asked) along with a bit of salad; one scone with a pot of jam and a pot of cream which i guessed was made from margarine and icing sugar??; and a scrumptious chocolate concrete cake that was very rich. They easily catered for my preference of Earl Grey tea, (and my sisters preference of Decaf tea), and provided me with Soy Milk.
Overall i was pleased that they were able to cater for me at such short notice, with yummy food, and with excellent service. It must be hard to cater for large parties but they were consistently checking if we were OK or needed any more drinks. I will definitely be returning here, and have already recommended it to other Vegans & Vegetarians that i know.
