History of Christmas at Hall's Garden Centre
Christmas at Hall's Garden Centre has always been a special time because it is a family run business with family traditions. We have always embraced Christmas going right back to the mid 1950's, and we have the memories to prove it.
And this Christmas is no exception, especially at our flagship New Oscott site in Sutton Coldfield. Preparations are well under way for our most important guest Father Christmas (or Santa Claus to me) who will be appearing on weekends from Saturday 30th, November onwards. This years grotto has been hand built for him and his helpers by Simon and Conor, ably assisted by Jack. No photographs are allowed yet as we do not want to spoil the surprise.Come and sit on Santa's knee and tell him what you want for Christmas. He will have a gift for you and a few questions to ask. Mom and dad are welcome and tickets are already on sale for just £4.00 per child.
This Christmas we have been able to fully integrate The Garden Room Coffee Shop into our display area. Tall metal and glitter angels, aluminium nickel reindeer, laser lights and old fashioned glass baubles are looked upon by the bust of Beethoven and Mozart who seem quite happy to listen to the Christmas music.
We have some beautifully decorated artificial trees on display, an army of Nutcracker soldiers and lots of candles for the ladies. Scarves, handbags and jewellery are also on sale.
For those looking for something a little more traditional we offer cards, napkins, tree decorations and welcome lights.
Walk out of The Graden Room, through the newly installed marquee full of artificial trees, swags and garlands and eventually into the old garden centre if you want more lights. Our two main suppliers again are Konstsmide and Premier Lights. Both renowned brands that mean you can buy with confidence. And of course we also offer that old fashioned product called service!
We are open 7 days a week right up to Christmas but always the best products sell early. Please bear this in mind if you don't want to be disappointed.
More updates to follow, so check back soon.
